Information and Technology (IT) cooperatives are member-owned and controlled organizations that provide information and communication technology services to their members. These services can include computer repair and maintenance, web design and hosting, and internet access. The purpose of IT cooperatives is to provide affordable and accessible technology services to individuals and communities that may otherwise have limited access to such services. By pooling resources and working together, IT cooperatives are able to provide their members with a wide range of technology services at a lower cost than they would be able to access as individuals.
